As consumerism spreads, the need to actively and significantly reduce the trash we generate is, more than ever, being felt.
Victoria Desvaux, environmentalist and active member of Zero Waste Mauritius, gave a one-hour presentation on waste reduction in November, and touched upon the need to rethink and reshape our consumption habits. It can start with initiatives at individual level to: Refuse. Reduce. Reuse. Recycle. Compost. Rethink.
It was not only an awareness presentation on the state of the environment at local level, but a platform where students of Seconde could share their personal experiences and endeavours for a greener world too.
